Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania
A friend of my daughter�s was accused of running away from police at an underaged party bust. She has to go to court, has had her name in the paper and she was not there. She did not know the kid having the party the address + was on eve. shift at hospital and rode home with her mother who also works there. 2 stories as to how her name came into it, police woman looked at the facebook pages of kids busted and picked her out and one of the kids named her as the runner. This seems so ridiculous that I can�t figure out how this is happening. She was at home with all her family members, no evidence at all..... she could lose her academic scholarship etc. How is this possible?

She will have the opportunity to present a defense at a hearing. If there are concenrs about an academic scholarship, then I would highly suggest that she retain a lawyer. Retaining a lawyer will increase her odds of success.
Innocent people are arrested every day. Since she seems to have an alibi, she's probably in good shape if the defense is presented properly. That means she should hire an attorney. By the way, its not necessarily illegal to run away from a scene. She should get an attorney asap. Feel free to email me.
