Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania
mistakes in the original complaint
is there any mistakes that the cop makes in the original report that are possible to get the dui charged thrown out? If so must you have a layer to do it?

While you certainly are entitled to represent yourself, a lawyer can spot mistakes in reports, in testimony etc. There are a number of things in the original complaint that might give rise to a defense.

Yes, you can represent yourself, but you also wouldn't know what to look for as it relates to mistakes. My recommendation is to contact and retain an attorney ASAP, your DUI can cost you dearly.....please review my website for specifics at www.AlleghenyAttorneys.com. My office also offers flat rate pricing.

I agree with what the other attorneys said. You need to have an attorney if you want to be successful at challenging anything in the report, testimony, etc. (and to actually know what to challenge, if anything). You wouldn't do surgery on yourself (because you know you don't know how)...and you probably don't know how to do this either.
Being convicted of DUI usually costs between 1-2,000 in fines and costs and skyrocketing insurance rates for several years. Having a lawyer represent you can actually save you money if you win your case. There are never any guarantees, however. Every case is different.
