Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

Multiple Lane changes allowed?

I changed lanes on a PA highway doing the speed limit, and using my signal, over 2 dotted lanes (lane 1 on the far left to lane 3 on the far right). I was pulled over for this. Is this proper evidence to pull a citizen over for in Pennsylvania, Delaware County? This traffic stop resulted in a DUI. There was no mention of any traffic ticket.

Re: Multiple Lane changes allowed?

It sounds like you may have a defense based upon an absence of probable cause for the stop. It's difficult to give you a hard and fast answer because the police will testify at best that you suddenly went across two lanes of travel while you will testify that you slowly changed from one lane to the other only after checking for approaching traffic in each lane. It depends on whom the Judge believes.
