Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

Obtaining blood samples

While in the hospital having my blood drawn for a

possible DWI case, I was lead to a room to have my

blood drawn and the Policeman and a friend of his

came into the room to observe my medical procedure.

I believe my rights of confidentiality (medical) were

compromised with these two other people in the room.

At the time I did not know what to say but it was

uncomfortable and I felt complete strangers should not

be present. Is this allowed by Penna. medical and legal

laws? Thank you for your anticipated help.

Re: Obtaining blood samples

Unfortunately Yes, you subjected yourself to this action by allowing the police to arrest you for a DUI. I recommend, you be more concerned about your DUI charges then whether or not they viewed your blood being drawn!
