Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

PA underage drinking charge with a NY driver license

I received a underage drinking summary charge in Pennsylvania. It is my first one. The punishment for this is a three month mandatory driver license suspension along with fines. I am a resident of New York State and have a New York state driver license. Will I have my driving priveleges suspended by New York State or will they only be suspended in Pennslyvania. Additionally is there a statue of limitations on underage drinking because it took the court three months to send me any notification that I was being charged.

Re: PA underage drinking charge with a NY driver license

YES, if you plead guilty or are convicted of this offense you will lose your license in NY. Even though there is no reciprocity for points, license suspensions do allow for reciprocity. In other words if you receive a license suspension in PA, you will lose your license in NY. Call my office or visit my website for additional information.
