Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

police bribery

I recently got pulled over for a DUI. The cop told me that he could make it go away for me if I would buy drugs from someone so that he could make a bust. I do not do or buy drugs and this made me uncomfortable. Is this legal?

Legal? Yes, it's legal. It's not bribery, per se.

However, if you don't buy drugs I wouldn't suggest that you get yourself involved as a witness against a drug dealer. Probably would make you even more uncomfortable and maybe fearful.

Do you have any prior DUIs, or criminal record? If not, I can't see what the advantage would be for you in the long run.
