Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

prabation situation

My husbandreceived his one and only DUI in 1994. He complied with all of the stipulations of the court except serving my 3 days in jail. In 2000 Jeff contacted his probation officer wanting to turn himself in. He was informed by his probation officer that so much time had passe that he would either have to only spend 3 days in jail or that no time would be spent in jail by me. He voluntarily turned himself in and was in jail for 11 days on a $10,000 bail. When he was bailed out the judge (who thought the time spent in jail and the bail where excessive) put him on probation and used his 11 days in jail as time served. When Jeff spoke to his probation officer he explained that since he had no license, worked a job and now lived 3 hours away ,he would like to have a probation officer closer to where he lived. His probation officer said no. Jeff made 3 probation hearings and then it became to difficult to make any more. My husband really would like to know what he can do about this situation.

Thanks

Jeff

Re: prabation situation

Your husbanmd needs to petition the sentencing judge to allow the probation to be served at a more conveniant location.
