Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

Purchasing Alcohol under 21

Is is illegal for a minor to carry a bag that contained alcohol? The minor was not the one who purchased the alcohol but he was caught carrying the unopened alcohol in a bag and was charged with purchasing alcohol under the age of 21. This does not sound right to me.

His possession probably gave the police probable cause for the arrest/ citation. It sounds like not enough evidence to convict. Irecommend getting a lawyer. I offer free consultations.

I agree with Mr. Johns....you would need to show who actually purchased the alcohol and why the underage individual was carrying it...I recommend retaining legal counsel ASAP.
