Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

rehab instead of jail?

I refused the blood alcohol test. So am automatically getting the stiffest fine and sentencing. can i go to

rehab instead of jail? Im 1st time offender i consider myself a social drinker and friends of mine had dui's in the past and never did any jail time. why pick on me? If I go to day sessions with a alcohol coucelor will that look good? why do i have to leave my home for rehab? i also was charged with careless driving and disordly conduct. I also

had open container of vodka in the car but they didn't charge me for that.

Re: rehab instead of jail?

You may be eligible for the ARD program which would not require jail time. You would pay program costs, have alcohol highway safety classes and would be on good behaviour for 1 to 2 years. You also are looking at a year licnese suspension for the refusal. I offer free consultations.
