What will happen if you get charged with a DUI while still severing out your section 17? I just been sentence to sever a flat 72 hours and a year probation, along with an 1800.00 fine.

Re: Section 17

Hello! Thank you for your question.

Before I can answer your question, I will need additional information about your case.

1. Is this the first time you have been charged with a DUI? If not, how long has it been since you were last charged with a DUI?

2. Did the arresting officer administer a breathalyzer test? If yes, what was your blood alcohol level?

3. Did the arresting officer administer a field sobriety test? If yes, what tests were you required to perform (e.g. walking a straight line, counting backwards, etc.)

4. Please be more specific about what you mean by "serving out your section 17." Otherwise, I may not be able to accurately advise you on how your current DUI charge will interact with the "section 17."

Once I have this information, I will be better able to advise you.

Have a nice day!
