Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

Son was furnished alcohol by a grown up but he was also charged

I am writing to find out where i stand in my situation . My son was given alcohol to and alot of it. He is 14 and i had called the police to file charges on the person for furnishing the alcohol to him .But in the process he was charged for underage drinking . I would like to know where my son stands and what will likely to come out of it . It is understood my son was just as much responsible cause he had consumed it, but i want to know if this will affect him as far as a record or what amount of fine is imposed on him . I just wanted to make sure the person who furnished the alcohol to him wil never do it again to someother child .

Re: Son was furnished alcohol by a grown up but he was also charged

The offense would be a summary offense. He would be required to pay a fine, possibly perform community service and would receive a suspension of his driving privileges that would make him ineligible to receive a license prior to the end of the term of the suspension. I have no idea what evidence they have against your son to inform you of whether or not he has a valid defense. I suggest you contatct an attorney to discuss this. I offer free consultations.
