Legal Question in Education Law in Pennsylvania
Cannot continue distant education program due to mistake of school
I'm in my second semester with an online course. They give you so much time to complete each semester, and if you want to extend the time by 6 months, you have to send them $75. I did this, but they applied my check to the wrong account, and so my course is showing expired. I have been emailing them to get this resolved and the last email I got from them, they said they were going to take care of it. They haven't yet, even after almost 2 months. Since the problem hasn't been fixed, I cannot continue my studies because my account is showing I never sent the $75. Can I request to get a refund of the tuition I have paid since I cannot continue my studies without this problem being taken care of, and do they legally have to refund me since this was their error? I have sent them numerous emails to let them know they still have not take care of it, but get no response. Very frustrating!

This is really a contractual matter. In other words were you following the procedures set by school policy. As a practical matter it seems that you are not getting what you paid for and the other side is not listening...at least to your e-mails. Call and speak to a live person with authority to make the necessary changes and have them give you confirmation in writting.
