Legal Question in Elder Law in Pennsylvania
Elder financial abuse
Our elderly aunt had let her license plates expire,we took her to renew them. When she was asked to show her insurance card,it had expired also. I called to get insurance ,after I found some, she called the bank to have money transferred from her savings to checking. She was told she only had 11.62 in her savings. Her memory isn't very good but she has never been too generous with her money and we always warned her about someone calling or coming to the door and asking for big sums of money, she assured us no one could take advantage of her.We went through her bank statements, and found over 20,000 dollars worth of checks written to this guy who claims to be a preacher, but also sells insurance and fire detectors. We found checks written to him for a loan, all kinds of insurance policys and thousands for gifts. She doesn't understand she is broke because of this guy supposedly helping her.She has no homeowner's or auto insurance, cause now she has no money.

This sort of situation is deplorable. You need to call the police to investigate. Hopefully, they wil brign justice to your aunt
