Legal Question in Elder Law in Pennsylvania
power of attorney
My borther and I both have documents saying we have the power of attorney for my mother. Does this mean that each of us can make dedicisions about her care and her money without consulting the other? Since my borther lives near my mother he seems to be making all the decisions including spendng her money.

Re: power of attorney
Hie thee to an attorney. You're not in my area or I'd suggest you come in.
You have the right, and responsibility, to demand an accounting and he SHOULD be consulting with you regarding accounts.
An attorney can look at the documents and his accounts and determine what needs to be done in your specific situation.
Good luck.
