Re: Power of Attorney

I assume you had a power of attorney to handle your mother's funds during the five years. I also assume you have good records to show that any expenditures from your mothers funds wer to pay her reasonable bills and expenses. If you have complete records that you acted in the best interest of your mother you should have no problkem. Your sister may be acting in your mother's interest or on her own interest. She may want to account for your mother's assets to see that you have acted appropriately or she may be interested in attempting to rest control from you. Is your mother competant? if not you could be facing a guardian petition. What is your sister's motives? You should consult with an attorney to get a firmer grasp of the situation
