Legal Question in Elder Law in Pennsylvania
Transfer of Power of Attorney
How do you transfer POA? The subject is elderly with Alzheimer's and the current agent does not wish to be POA anymore. It's a Mother - Son, who wants to transfer POA to another son.

Re: Transfer of Power of Attorney
You cannot transfer a power of attorney...you would need to find someone new to take over the responsibilities and either draft a new power of attorney or seek a guardianship over the person or of the estate.
My office also offers flat rate pricing and free consultations, for additional information please visit my firm's website at www.AlleghenyAttorneys.com or by calling my office at 412.731.0865.
