Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Pennsylvania

Picture in Newspaper
I'm a college student and this relates to a college newspaper.

There was an article written about me in my schools newspaper, they wanted a picture, I told them I could come by on Wednesday, they said ok. Later on they called and said it had to be tonight (which was tuesday night), I said I didn't want my picture in the paper.

Come thursday (day of the papers release) my picture was in there. They took it off of www.facebook.com (a picture I did not put up, it was put up by a friend). They did not have my permission to use that picture, or any for that matter. Is this legal?

Quick answer, yep, it's legal. News can get away with things that a lot of other sources can't get away with.
