Legal Question in Environmental Law in Pennsylvania

Tree Cutting

My wife and I live in Maryland but own property in Butler County Pennsylvania. Our neighbors had their property logged. In the process the people that logged their property crossed the property line and cut some of our trees down after being told by a friend that he thought they were over the property line. What are my legal rights and what legal recorse(s) do I have.

Re: Tree Cutting

The value of the property (i.e., the logs themselves) as taken from the land is compensable. Valuation may be problematic depending on the species of the trees. Some form of remediation may also apply. Other factors may apply to your overall legal position. Speak with an attorney.
