I will assume this child was born out of wedlock. If she wants to ask the court that someone else is to be named as the father she's going to be asked some tough questions. Such as what took her so long. Next how is it in the best interest of the child that the only father she has known is to be removed from her life?

Yes there is a risk but she will have to show the court how making someone else dad is in the best interests of the child. Even if it shown you're not the child's father. Though she is also going to have to ask the court to ignore the DRO decision you are dad.

At some point in time she filed a support claim, verifing that you are the father. At some point, you should have signed an acknowledgment of paternity. If you been acting as the father the past 7 years, it will be difficult for her to change, regardless of DNA testing.
