16 year old wants to be on his own

we have a boy who is 16+ and wants to be his own man what are the laws in this state on amancipation of a minor?

Parents have a duty to provide support for any child under 18. He would be required to file a petition for emancipation with the Court asking to be declared a legal adult. The Court would look at his ability to provide for his own needs (Food, clothing, shelter). I offer free consultations.
