Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

can a 16 year old choose where and who they want to live with? lets say they have a parent who hurts the emotionally so much that they want to be away from that parent and the parents mate is moving out and the teen wants to go with them.

By age 16 most courts will listen to what a child desires as to their custody situation. They don't have to allow a child's decision to be controlling but as long as the child appears to be making an intelligent and mature request they may.
