adopting a siblings child
When adopting a siblings child can the parents just go sign off their parental rights or does there have to be a court hearing?

The parent relinquishing his/her parental rights must still appear in court. If they are doing it this way the process will be faster as opposed to an involuntary relinquishment. Should you additional information please don't hesitate and contact me.

You still need to file an adoption petition and the consent of the natural parents must be gotten. You will not need to have a home study as a stranger would but you still need to have the adoption approved by the court.
