Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Baby's father doesn't want to let baby up for adoption

i am 6 months pregnant and have decided that it is best for my unborn child to have an adoptive family. the baby's father thinks otherwise and is not cooperating in signing the adoption papers. how do judges usually rule if i would take him to court to prove him an unfit parent (repeated history of drug abuse) ? would the judge "order" him to sign if proven unfit?

You would need to file a petition for involuntary termination of parental rights. It is not easy to terminate a person's parental rights. Best to contact an attorney to further discuss this issue.
