biological father

my dgtr is pregnant and is planning on giving the child up for adoption. i am planning on adopting the baby. up to how many days can the father take to deny me the adoption. also if i take on guardianship instead what exact rights do i have

Re: biological father

To adopt the child both parents must give up their parental rights. They can do so voluntarily or you can ask a court to terminate them.

The upside for the child's father is if he gives up his parental rights he doesn't pay child support.

If you get custody of the child rather than adopt the child you could and should seek child support from the father. After seeing what he is on the hook for he might be more accommodating.
