birth certificate
can i remove the father of my baby off the birth certificate. she is 6 months old

If the name on the birth certificate is the actual biological father you can't. A fact you left out is how did this man's name get on the birth certificate?
If he isn't the biological father then the easiest way is to file for child support. Then the man named on the birth certificate can ask for a paternity test. If the test proves he's not the father, one he will not have to pay support, two you will have evidence he isn't the father. Of course if you know who the father is you could then file for child support from him and have the birth certificate.
Assuming you want to protect your custody rights you should seek a court order for custody.
