Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
change in custody
I share custody of my 12 yr old. My ex was just ''criminally'' charged with Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and related summary offenses for a drag racing accident w/ his 3 yr old daughter in the car and NOT in a car seat. He is also on many stong prescription drugs for prior back pains and hasn't paid child support while trying to get disability since March of this year. Are these new charges grounds for a change in custody and do I need an attorney to help me through it?

Re: change in custody
i believe you have grounds for a petition to modify and you might be able to request a court administered drug test. finally, you can file a petition for contempt of support or call your local support unit to help. I recommend an attorney for all. call for a free consultation.
Re: change in custody
The changes you mention may provide a basis or changing the present Order. The botom line is the behavior and changes in conditions material enough in which they place your child at risk. You should consult with an attorney to get a better idea of the situation where more factors can be considered.
