Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

name change

I raised a young man who was originally adopted by another family. He is 31 years old, has a wife and 2 daughters, and wants to change his family name to mine. Are there special forms needed in Pennsylvania for family name changes?

Re: name change

To change a name you have to petition the Court of Common Pleas in your county. What gets hard is you need to do a few more things then file a petition. You'll need a criminal record check, a search to see if there are outstanding judgments and once you get a court date you have to post the proper advertisements in the right newspapers.

My advice find a lawyer to do this for you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me the initial consultation is free.
