Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Name Change

My son is 3 months old. He is named after his father, as in, he has his fathers first name but my last name. The father of my child is not apart of his life like he should be. His name is not on my child's birth certficate and doesnt contribute any money to help me support his child. My question is can I change my child's first name?

Re: Name Change

Yes you can change the name. There is a procedure for changing the name of a child that's a little less effort than an adult name change.

You'll probably need the help of a lawyer to do that.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
