Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Child adopted & natural father dies. Tx law or Pa. law?

My ex-husband signed away his parental rights in Texas. My husband adopted my daughter. Per Texas adoption laws, she would still inherit as natural child in the event of his death.

He was killed last month in an accident, & I cannot find an attorney that will help me because they say Pa. law is different. She was his only child & I have been trying to find a lawyer and some answers day and night..Please help...

Where was the father living at the time of the accident? Was he still a Texas resident? In what state did the accident take place?
