Nothing. Unless there is a paternity established in one form or another and a valid custody order then the mother is able to move as she wishes with the child.

I do not understand the question. Nothing happens merely because the mother and child move. The father needs to step up to the plate though. If the mother and child live outside Pennsylvania for more than 6 months and no order is entered, then Pennsylvania loses jurisdiction and the new state where the mother and child live will have to address any issues concerning custody, visitation or support. Its better that the father take steps now to establish paternity, child support and custody/visitation. Issues regarding relocation with the child can be put into the custody/visitation order and make it more difficult for the mother to leave. The father should talk to a family lawyer now.
