child custdody

in pennsylvania at what age does a child have the right to decide where they live ? currently have a custody order i hold primary custody. his father holds residental for the purpose of overnights, he is 12 and his father is having mental problems with anger issue and is afraid to be with his father ,his father has past history od dom.violence against women and assaults on other men . what can i do?

Generally, the courts will at least consider what the child wants once the child is 12 or so. A lot depends on the judge.

However, if you can show that it would be in the best interest of the child to modify the order. You need to file a petition to get the order modified.
