Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Child Custody
I've been a single dad for over 4
years now. My son was allowed to be
with me because mom wanted to be
with another man. We put in writing
that I will be primary caretaker for
my son. Mom has not done much for
him in these last 4+ years and yet
she whacks him with a belt (I just
became aware of this a few weeks
ago) and should not be doing so since
she does not know her son and does
not understand him. Also she leaves
him with her man, who's an illegal
immigrant, needless to say he has no
license or anything, and she let's him
drive my son around or let's him take
my son to the movies and park by
themselves. I need to put an end to
this. I spoke to her and she told me
she does whatever she wants and if I
don't like it ''tough sh*t''. Please tell
me what I can do legally to protect
my son from irresponsible behavior.
Thank you so much...

Re: Child Custody
First you should get a custody order in place. Second, if there is evidence of any injury to the child call the child line. Third, if she let's any unlicensed driver drive your child report it to the police immediately. She may do what ever she wants however, when what she wants injures or risks the death of a child, that a crime and that why there are DAs and jails.
