Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

child hyphnated name change

When my daugher was born, my boyfreind (now fiance) and I were a lot younger. I did not know where the relationship was going to go then and we decided to give our daughter both of our last names. We are now going to get married this coming summer and we would like give her his last name only, will I be able to do this, or does she have to have both our names and if I could, how do I go about doing this?

Thank you

Re: child hyphnated name change

You would have to petition the court for a name change. with adults its none to hard you have to run some notices, check for judgments and run a fingerprint check with the State Police.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
