Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
I had a child with a non US citizen - English. He visited him at the time of the birth and then a year and a half later. My son is going on 11 and we want to take a vacation out of the country but I'm having a difficult time getting a passport. I live in PA. How difficult is it going to be to get sole custody and what type of lawyer do I need to get my now husband to adopt my son? By the way his father has not contacted me in over 2 and a half years. Thank you!

A lot will depend where the father is. His citizenship is not very relevant. The reason the child's dad would allow his parental rights to be terminated is that he would no longer be obligated to pay child support. However, to terminate his parental rights there does need to be an adoption afterward. You seem to have that covered.
Getting the child's dad to being willing to terminate his parental right shouldn't be too hard. Either sign or look forward to paying 7 years of child support for a child you never see.
