Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

child support in chester county

My question is if you live in Chester County Pa are you allowed to sign a paper that says you no longer want child support and then months later, after the back support has been payed and the case should be closed, try to reinstate that order? And if so how is that fair to the person with the order against them. That's giving one person the right to mess with someone elses life whenever they want.

Re: child support in chester county

Parents cannot bargain away their children's right to child support. Even if a parent drops a support action, he or she can always renew it because children always have a right to child support.
