Child Support

If I file for joint custody will I have to still pay child support. The mother threantens me everyday saying she wants atleast 200 dollars a week and I can't afford it. But I also don't want to be put in the system I heard bad stuff about the system that they only go by what the mom wants Please Help me

This is a complicated issue. Your respective incomes would still be considered. However, if you have custody with the children either 40% of the time or more this would effect the support. You do not indicate what the mother earns or you earn this would have some effect. You should consult with an attorney. The issue of support should not be your only concern in seeking joint custody.
