Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

child support.

My friend receives child support for three children and the payor adhears to the court order, however, the payor and his employer understates his wages and is paid the balance under the table. He has been working for the same employer for seventeen years starting at $7 an hour and just recently raised to $7.50. He has sworn under oath in court that this is his true wage. He builds houses for a living and is a known skilled worker. This is hard to prove and costly. He has no bank accounts and hold no real property.

What can be done? Any ideas?

Re: child support.

I would file a petition to modify. At the hearing I would ask the hearing officer to impute that the payor makes the going wage for his profession. Even if that isn't imposed after the hearing you would appeal. Once your in front of the judge subpoena the employer and make him testify under oath that a worker with 17 years on the job makes little more than the minimum wage. Not to mention his wages have only 6.6% over 17 years or less then .4% a year. That just screams something is not right about this room.
