Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

child support?

I want to know what my options are. My ex-girl freind gave birth to (possibly) my baby in December 2006. She recently went to domestics to file child support against me. I was told that once i recieve the papers about her filing i have 2 options. 1. to go and get a dna test or 2. to sign that she is my child and go from there. What if i do not want to do anything right now. Do i have that option?

Re: child support?

No. You have been sued and the courts have given you a deadline to respond. If you don't respond you will LOSE.

Either you are the child's father or you are not.

If you are the father then the obligation to support the child is yours and starts now.

Why do you think you have any right to put it on hold?
