Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Child support

My unmarried daughter has 2 children. The father of the children refuses to work so he doesn't have to pay support. He's trying Again to qualify for diability. He has anytime access to the children which he expects, he doesn't expect to have to pay for their care however. All are suffering as my daughter is on public assistance herself but working thru DPW in a job program. She doesn't get paid at this point, it's a training program. What can be done to get him to pay? He lives with his parents and is quite comfortable even though unemployed. He expects to enjoy all aspects of fatherhood, just not the financial aspect. Can you give us some advice? We live in PA.

Re: Child support

If he qualifies for disability then the children will also get disability payments as well.

In a support action the DRO can impute an earning capacity based on the education and prior work experience of the father. Depending on the county they may come down on him hard or not.
