Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Child Support/Custody
My husband and I have primary legal custody of my step-son. Approx. 1 and 1/2 months ago, my step-son ''ran away from home'' to his mother's house because he was angry with some disciplinary action that was being enforced. Since he left, we have continued to receive child support payments from his mother. My question is this: Are we breaking any PA laws by not reporting that my step-son no longer is living with us and are we breaking any PA laws by continuing to accept the mother's child support?

Re: Child Support/Custody
I can't think of any laws being broken. Though mom could file for a modification of support though she would have to have custody changed. Otherwise the DRO will look at the existing custody order and go by that.
