Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
My child's father and I have joint custody now, but there is a modification hearing for next month and I will be asking for full custody (with legitimate and verifiable reasons). I wanted to know if I still have to file for a Plowman hearing to move right outside of the city for the school district if I have full custody? Or if I just fill out the paperwork and bring it to the hearing, is it possible that the judge would allow it?

I would suggest that you review these issues with your attorney. If you don't have an attorney, I would highly suggest that you retain one. You will be at a huge disadvantage if the other side has a lawyer and you don't.
The new custody statute outlines very specific procedures that must be followed when there is a relocation. You will need to follow those procedures to be able to move, which includes giving notice to the other side and giving them a chance to respond.
