Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Cohabiting

I am an engaged 36 year old woman living in PA. My fiance is currently living in South Carolina going to college. When my fiance is between semesters, he stays with me and my two children, ages 16 and 10. Today, my son returned home from his fathers upset because his father was questioning him on whether 'that man' stays overnight at moms. When my son told him 'sometimes' his father proceeded to tell him that it was against the law. My question to you is.... Is cohabiting with minor children in the house illegal in PA? Do I have anything to worry about? My ex husband is a very controlling person that has completely made our son the center of his universe. He has no friends, no social life, and minimal contact with his parents. I am not exagerating when I say that the only activities he partakes in are work and my sons athletics. I am very concerned that he may try to gain full custody, which would be very damaging to our son.
