does a convict have a right to see his child
My son got himself in trouble with his girl friend. They stold a tv and a dresser. My son got arrested and is in jail his girlfriend was pregnant when they got in trouble. Does he have a right to see his child, they are refusing to allow myself(grandmother)and my son the (father to see his child). They want his car in order for him to see his baby. He needs the car since out here there is no form of transportation and he will need it to get back and forth from work so he can support his child when he gets out. What can he do to see the child. They are very vindictive ppl. They have no money to put insurnace on the car. I am not pround of what my son did however it has been done and his girlfriend was part of it. They were light on her due to the fact she was pregnant. I would like to see my grandchild and to have my son see his child what rights do either of us have. Help!

You really need to speak with an attorney directly.
Look for a legal clinic in your locality. They are often run out of legal schools. The two campuses of Widener University School of Law (Wilmington, DE and Harrisburg, PA) have legal clinics that may be of assistance if you are located near them. Otherwise a little searching should get you to a clinic. They can't offer full scope representation but they can get you started in the right direction for little or no money.
