Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

I have a custody agreement that i filed stating that my sons mother is his primary caregiver monday through friday and i have custody of him on the weekends, we both share legal custody, his mother has been house hopping for a bout a year and has gotten kicked out of every place she has lived, she recently went to live in a homeless shelter and called my parents to come and pick my son up and keep him for a while, now her father has let her come live at his house but signed over custody while she was a minor over to my parents so she could live with my parents because her parents didnt want anything to do with her, my son has been staying with me for about a week and now she wants him and back and i dont feel comfortable releasing him into her custody because my son needs a stable living enviroment, i have gone to the courthouse and filed for an amendment to my custody agreement, my sons mother has threatened to call the cops to try and get my son back, can the police force me to give him back

You would be best to contact an attorney as the facts seem somewhat complex to state an opinion here. If your parents have custody how was this done through the courts? Best advice sit down with an attorney.
