custody for military father

Son has filed for divorce, mother has child, she does not work.Father being deployed, father wants custody. Can his parents take care of child if father wins custody while he is in Iraq. Mother lives at home with parents.

Yes they can, that said it won't be easy. First dad has to win primary custody and show that at least for the time he is deployed mom shouldn't have primary custody. A very up hill task.
