Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Custody of my 13 yer old son?
My 13 year old son wants to live with me instead of his father (we have been divorced for 7 years). While his father could certainly prove that his housing environment may be better suited for him, my son is constantly put under emotional stress in their house. He islikes it there, and would like to live with me full time. If we were to go to court over custody again, would the court listen to my son, who could prove that their house wasn't providing him enough emotional stability, or would they listen to his father who would point out isolated incidences of bad parenting on my part?

The court might depends on which county you're in. At 13 the court might give some weight to his request however they will look at all the facts to see if having your son live with you is in the best interests of the child.

you can ask the judge to interview your son. He is at an age where his credibility for the truth would be higher then a child younger in comparison to lets say a 4 years old. Please contact my office for a free consultation.

You will go to Court, and hopefully, present enough testimony to drop the balance to your side. A thirteen year old will be listened to, but that alone is not going to determine where he will live.
Make sure you hire a good lawyer to prepare the case for hearing. What county is the case in?
