Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
My daughter has been being raised by a family member for almost 8 years where do I stand legally...there were no legal papers signed..there is no paperwork

You fail to mention ages of your daughter. I would suggest you consult with an attorney as your facts are sketchy. If there is no legal action been filed then there is no legal right of the family member having legal custody however, time is the avenger and in a legal action filed by you to to have the daughter returned to live with you the fact that she has lived with the family member for so long may work against you if the Judge feels that the best interest of the child would not be served
