Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

debt ?

I am keeping the house when we divorce and he is keeping his business/car. We have yet to get to the bottom to see if I will owe him anything. 3 Years ago he took out a 18,000 car loan. 6 months later we refinanced our house and used money from the refinancing to pay off his loan. Since this money is now tacked on to my mortgage payment how is this handled? Is it debt. or less money I will need to give him at settlement?

Re: debt ?

The mortgage and the second mortgage are marital debt. That said and argument could be made that the second mortgage should be his as he will be keeping the car it financed.

I can see all sort of possible complications here. From tax issues to liens to the house.
