Dental and Vision Insurance coverage

I have two daughters that are in college. Am I required to maintain dental and vision insurance coverage on them even though they are emancipated?

Re: Dental and Vision Insurance coverage

I don't know of any law requiring a parent to maintain dental and vision insurance on their children who are over 18 years of age.

Many colleges do require that students be covered by health insurance, but if the parent will not pay, it is up to the student to purchase it, which can be hard on the student.

If there is no support order from the domestic relations office than no. If there is an order you need to get it vacated so you are off the hook.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
