Distribution of money

Can a portion of money be given to some benificieries but not all while waiting for an estate. I wanted to recieve 25% of what I will be getting. The executor said she needs to wait for a trust to be finalizied for 1 of the 6 benificieries before she could release money. The death occured in November 0f 2007 The paperwork has already been filed Can her portion just be put into an escrow account until the trust is finalized

You can receive an advance or "risk" distribution. I'm only guessing; but the executrix is probably doing the safest and correct thing concerning the trust. She's probably subject to a court order on this.
